    Otechestvennaya Filosofiya / National Philosophy aims at solving two tasks: the study of the Russian philosophical heritage in all its historical completeness and the actualization of Russian philosophical thought in the disciplinary space of modern philosophy and humanitarian knowledge. Scientific materials are published in the permanent departments "Research", "Discussions", "Archive". An important task of the "National Philosophy" is also to provide the research process with the help of the departments "Criticism and Bibliography" and "Scientific Life".

  • Ishraq. Islamic Philosophy Journal

    Ishraq. Islamic Philosophy Journal” is a scientific and theoretical journal founded by the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of Ibn Sina Foundation. The journal continues the tradition of the yearbook of Islamic philosophy “Ishraq”, published from 2010 to 2021 under the editorship of Dr. J. Esots (1966 – 2021), and publishes articles on various aspects of Arab-Muslim thought. The main attention is paid to modern research on the history of Kalam, Ismailism, philosophical Sufism, falsafah, Ishraqism, Iranian ʻIrfan, Middle Eastern Christian and Jewish philosophical traditions, Arab philosophy of the New and Modern times, as well as related religious studies and philosophical-religious works. One of the key tasks of the journal is to familiarize a wide philosophical audience with current trends in modern philosophical Islamic studies, as well as to develop a qualitatively new methodology of Islamic studies, allowing to overcome the Eurocentric orientalist model prevailing in Western science.

  • History of Philosophy Yearbook / Istoriko-filosofskii ezhegodnik

    The History of Philosophy Yearbook (HPY) is one of the most established Russian academic periodicals on philosophy with more than thirty years of history. HPY focuses on the publication of the latest works in various areas of history of philosophy as well as materials covering the most important current events in the history of philosophy as a research field. HPY publishes historical studies of the world's philosophical traditions; articles on theoretical and methodological issues of history of philosophy; essays on philosophers little known to the Russian reader; analytical reviews of the latest editions; archival materials; commented translations of philosophical classics into Russian, and discussions of topical problems.

    HPY is intended primarily for professional historians of philosophy, but also for a wide range of specialists in closely related fields of study.

  • Civilization studies review

    Civilization studies review (CivStudies) is an online academic journal established by the Institute of Philosophy RAS in April 2019.

    The journal is a multidisciplinary edition and designed for professionals in academic research. CivStudies is committed to significant advances in a wide range of academic issues concerning elaboration of the modern civilization approach methodology, understanding the unicity of the past and present civilizations, its contribution to the formation of the unified panhuman civilization.

    The structure of the journal provides the opportunity for publishing original research works and materials for the further professional discussion, e.g. different aspects of Russian civilization project. The journal invites specialists and young researches from all over the world.

  • Voprosy Filosofii

    The journal “Voprosy Filosofii” is an academic scientific edition, the central philosophical journal in Russia. The journal considers its main task to maintain the unity of the Russian philosophical community, as fully as possible presenting the results of the work of Russian researchers. The authors of the journal are employees of the Institute of Philosophy and other institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, teachers of the philosophical departments of universities, colleagues involved in the development of philosophical issues in other scientific disciplines, as well as independent researchers. The journal regularly publishes the works of foreign authors studying the history of Russian philosophy and writing in Russian. The journal pays special attention to the history of philosophical thought in Russia and the publication of archival sources.

  • Philosophy of Religion: Analytic Researches

    First issue: 2007 (under the title Philosophy of Religion: An Almanac, ISSN 2313-8750); since August 2017 under the new title Philosophy of Religion: Analytic Researches.

    The journal is registered with the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor). The Mass Media Registration Certificate No. FS77-70692 on August 15, 2017.

  • Philosophical anthropology

    The journal “Philosophical anthropology is designed to reflect the history and trends of the philosophical understanding of man. It highlights the main stages of the formation of the philosophy of man, the multiplicity of anthropological doctrines, relations between philosophical anthropology and other fields of philosophical thought. The journal is meant to trace the development of philosophical-anthropological views, to show their depth and richness, the originality of anthropological insights of remote and near cultures, to reveal the inner affinity of problems and meanings of particular philosophic conclusions about man. The journal includes all varieties of philosophical-anthropological knowledge – cultural, social, political, historic, religious, psychoanalytic, paedagogic anthropology. Also, the journal publishes papers of interdisciplinary character that deal with studying human nature through the prism of cultural science, biology, psychology, paedagogics and other scientific areas.

    The journal acquaints the readers with the current state of philosophical-anthropological thought in Russia and throughout the world.

    Filosofija nauki i tehniki / Philosophy of Science and Technology” Journal (ISSN 2413-9084 (Print), 2658-7297 (Online)) is a philosophical periodical with two issues a year. It is oriented towards professional audience. The goal of the journal is the publication of the research results in the field of philosophy of science and technology, epistemology and philosophy of cognitive science. The journal is a redesigned continuation of the annual “Filosofija nauki” (Philosophy of Science) that has been published in the Institute of Philosophy of RAS (Russian Academy of Sciences) since 1995 till 2015.     The Filosofskii zhurnalPhilosophy Journal aims at representing the state of the art in philosophical research, both in the traditional areas like ontology, epistemology, logic, ethics, aesthetics, political theory or history of philosophy, and in the interdisciplinary studies that combine philosophy with other areas of knowledge such as the exact sciences, literary criticism and the theory of visual arts, with their ongoing debate concerning the usage of newly coined concepts. Particularly welcome are publications on new and non-traditional forms of philosophy.

  • History of Philosophy

    Istoriya filosofii/ History of Philosophy (ISSN 2074–5869) is a specialized journal on the history of philosophy. The journal's main objective is to promote the development of professional research in the history of Western, Eastern and Russian philosophy, and to establish and strengthen ties with foreign philosophers. The journal publishes original scientific papers, as well as translations from other languages, reviews and surveys. Special attention is given to covering new, little-explored problems, to developing the methods of the history of philosophy, and to elaborating terminology. Among the journal's authors are both major specialists, the leading scientists in their fields of knowledge enjoying international renown, and postgraduate students and young scientists. The journal provides them with an opportunity to regularly publish the results of their scientific research, and thus encourages the formation of scientific teams, united by the study of certain topics. The journal also publishes the materials of conferences (national and international) in the history of philosophy.
